Environment Media Africa unveiled Enviro360 as its maiden news project in June 2017. Enviro360, designed as an innovative online news platform, is dedicated to elevating the discourse on environmental challenges within Ghana. Despite the nation’s strides in economic development, a plethora of environmental issues persist, ranging from waste management and sanitation to illegal mining and deforestation. Enviro360 emerged as a response to this pressing need for heightened awareness and action in environmental preservation.
On World Environment Day in 2017, Enviro360 made its debut with a clear mission: to offer a comprehensive perspective on Ghana’s environmental landscape, sparking meaningful dialogue and inspiring tangible change. Unlike conventional news outlets, Enviro360 distinguishes itself by focusing exclusively on environmental issues, providing in-depth coverage across various thematic areas, including waste management, climate change, water pollution, energy sustainability, and community-driven narratives.
Central to Enviro360’s ethos is the amplification of local voices and grassroots perspectives. By spotlighting community-driven stories, the platform empowers communities to advocate for their environmental rights and mobilize collective action.
